The Clippers are visiting the Timberwolves on Monday. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Minnesota is favored by 2.5 points and this game carries a total of 214.5 points.

Below, I have featured my favorite James Harden prop to consider from this contest.

James Harden U 19.5 Points (-115)

The Clippers finally got Kawhi Leonard (knee) back in the lineup this past Saturday and playing alongside the two-time NBA Finals MVP, Harden only scored 10 points and saw a 20% usage rate, which is a dramatic decrease from the 30% usage rate he is averaging this season. Leonard led the Clippers with a large 27.2% usage rate in his return and the veteran’s presence is going to negatively affect Harden’s usage on a nightly basis.

When Harden and Leonard have shared the floor over the last two seasons, Harden’s usage rate has dropped 5.2 percentage points to 19.2%. Harden has played 64 games with Leonard active the last two seasons and Harden is averaging only 16.5 PPG in those contests.

In addition to the decreased role, this is a terrible matchup for Harden vs. the Timberwolves, who rank seventh in defensive efficiency. Minnesota is giving up the third-fewest points to point guards this season and this 19.5-point line is way too high for Harden in this spot.
