What happened to Jordan Love? Live injury updates for NFL Week 18

Updated:

UPDATE: Jordan Love did not return to the matchup due to the elbow injury. However, head coach Matt LaFleur said this was out of precaution and both he and Love seemed confident about the quarterback’s status ahead of the playoffs.

The Packers ended up dropping the matchup to the Bears 24-22 on a game-winning field goal by Cairo Santos. Green Bay will officially be the seventh seed in the NFC and will play the Philadelphia Eagles in the wild-card round of the playoffs.

The Eagles have opened up as 3.5-point favorites for the matchup on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Jordan Love left the Packers’ Week 18 matchup against the Bears due to an injury to his throwing elbow. Love is listed as questionable to return. He was replaced by backup quarterback Malik Willis.

It was an awkward play when Love seemed to injure the elbow. It looked as if he hit the hand on one of the Bears pass-rusher’s helmets while attempting to evade the pass-rush. Love signaled over to the sideline shaking his hand after the play and was replaced by Malik Willis shortly after.

With the playoffs on the horizon, the Packers are sure to be cautious with their star quarterback. Love had completed seven of his 12 pass attempts for 69 yards before leaving the matchup. Wide receiver Christian Watson also left the game with what looked to be a non-contact knee injury to add to Green Bay’s concerns.

The Packers have already clinched a playoff opportunity but the results of today’s games will decide their seeding.

More information will be added as it becomes available.
