Here are Robinson’s current prop bet odds at DraftKings Sportsbook: o/u 97.5 rushing yards, o/u 2.5 receptions and o/u 16.5 receiving yards. Robinson is -290 to score a touchdown, +185 to score 2+ touchdowns and +290 to score the first touchdown of the game.
Robinson is having an amazing season in Atlanta. He ranks fourth in the NFL in rushing yards and eighth in rushing touchdowns heading into the season finale. Everything is on the line for the Falcons in Week 18 as they need a win and a Buccaneers loss to clinch the NFC South. They are out of the running in the NFC Wildcard race so the division title is their only chance at the postseason. These games will be happening simultaneously.
It should be another productive day on the ground for Robinson. In his rookie season and at the start of this year, Robinson was thought of as a receiver out of the backfield as much as he was a traditional halfback. Through the first half of the season, Robinson only had 20+ carries in 1 out of 9 games. That’s changed in the second half as he’s had five games of games of at least 20 carries in the last seven outings. Robinson has at least 90 rushing yards in six of those seven games. It should be a similar approach for the Falcons in this game against a Carolina defense that ranks dead last in defensive EPA/rush this season.
In the first matchup of the season against Carolina, Robinson had 95 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries. With Michael Penix Jr. making just his third career start, the Falcons should lean on Robinson in this game, especially with such a favorable matchup. That said, as Robinson’s rushing opportunities have increased, his receiving totals have decreased. Robinson has single-digit receiving yards in both of Penix’s starts this season. That is why I am betting on him to go under 16.5 receiving yards in this game. Robinson has failed to clear this number in four straight games. He also only had 10 receiving yards in the first matchup of the season against Carolina. Robinson should go under this receiving total for the fifth straight game while having a big day running the ball.
