The Knicks finally had their winning streak snapped at nine games last night in Oklahoma City. The Knicks were leading through three quarters but the Thunder closed them out and proved why they are the better team at the moment. However, the Knicks put forward a good effort on the road against the Western Conference’s top team and proved why they could be real contenders this season. The team really started to hum over the month of December, largely due to the Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns’ partnership. Towns is not only scoring at a solid clip but he is now the NBA’s leading rebounder. He has really developed as a more physical rebounder and defender under this Knicks staff, which should shine in this matchup against Chicago.
