Ja’Marr Chase best prop bets against the Steelers in Week 18

The Bengals take on the Steelers in an AFC North divisional battle to close out the regular season. Here are some Ja’Marr Chase prop bets to consider at DraftKings Sportsbook.

Ja’Marr Chase Prop Bets

Here are Ja’Marr Chase’s current prop bet odds at DraftKings Sportsbook: o/u 92.5 receiving yards and o/u 8.5 receptions. Chase is -135 to score a touchdown, +475 to score 2+ touchdowns, and +550 to score the first touchdown of the game.

Ja’Marr Chase has the chance to make history on Saturday. He currently leads the NFL in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. Since 1990, only four receivers have completed this feat, most recently Cooper Kupp in 2021. Chase has a 133-yard lead over Justin Jefferson for the most receiving yards, so that mark should be safe with even an average game from Chase. Chase has a four-touchdown lead over both Terry McLaurin and Amon-Ra St. Brown, so barring a record-breaking performance from one of those two, that mark is safe as well.

The category where Chase could most likely get caught is in receptions. Amon-Ra St. Brown has just eight receptions fewer than Chase, and the Lions have a massive game with the number-one seed in the NFC on the line. Safe to assume St. Brown will be playing that entire game.

In addition to the personal legacy on the line for Chase, the Bengals’ season is also on the line. This matchup is the second game of the Saturday doubleheader. If the Bengals win, their playoff hopes will survive into Sunday where they would need the Chiefs to beat the Broncos and the Jets to beat the Dolphins to make the postseason. With so much on the line for the team and Chase individually, he should have a monster game.

There is a chance that the Steelers are a bit deflated for this game. The Ravens play the Browns in the first game of the day on Saturday and Baltimore is an 18-point favorite in that game, the largest spread of the entire NFL season. If the Ravens win that game, which they almost certainly will, then they clinch the AFC North and the Steelers’ motivation levels will drop significantly. The Steelers did limit Chase better than most teams in the first matchup between these teams. Chase had six catches for 86 yards and a touchdown, a fantastic day for most receivers, but a pedestrian game for Chase this season.

My favorite prop bet for Chase in this game is for him to have a reception of over 26.5 yards. Chase has cleared this number in seven straight games, including that first matchup against Pittsburgh. Despite the Steelers defending him well overall, 49 of his 86 yards came on one catch. In an all-out personal and team effort, Chase should make it eight straight games with a reception of 27 yards or longer.

Pick: Ja’Marr Chase Longest Reception o26.5 Yards (-120)
