First Touchdown Scorer Prediction for Ravens vs. Browns

First Touchdown Scorer Prediction for Ravens vs. Browns

By: Hunter Skoczylas

The Ravens are looking to lock up the AFC North division and No. 3 seed in the AFC when the Browns come into town. Cleveland has already been eliminated from playoff contention and is dealing with a slew of injuries. Baltimore is favored by a whopping 20 points on DraftKings Sportsbook and the game total is set at O/U 41 points.

While the Browns have nothing to play for, they can still spoil the Ravens’ plans. And, if you’re going to beat Lamar Jackson this season, you’re going to need to score touchdowns. There’s that word… touchdown. Who doesn’t love touchdowns, especially first touchdowns?

That said, there are quite a few enticing first touchdown scorer prop bet choices available for Ravens vs. Browns. Please read below for my favorite choice with a breakdown.

Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens

Derrick Henry First TD Scorer (+250)

I hate to be boring but you gotta do what you gotta do to cash. I think it’s safe to say that the Ravens will very likely score the first touchdown and why not roll with the guy that has done so for Baltimore seven different times this season? Henry is inevitable. While he has only found the end zone once in the past five games, he still has 16 total touchdowns this season.

Cleveland’s run defense may not allow high yardage but it has still allowed 13 rushing touchdowns to opposing running backs this season. It also ranks bottom 10 in red zone scoring percentage, good news for Henry and the Ravens, who field the best red zone offense in the league. Henry ranks sixth in the league in red zone attempts and first on the team by a very wide margin considering the makeup of the Ravens’ running back room.

The Browns are certainly susceptible through the air, too, which slightly worries me considering Lamar Jackson is going to pad his stats to try to secure the AFC North division, the No. 3 seed in the AFC and Most Valuable Player all at the same time. At the end of the day, Baltimore wants to win, and it can be easy to do that if Henry is fed the ball.
