The Philadelphia 76ers C Joel Embiid is once again on the injury report for their game against the Nets on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. ET in Brooklyn. Embiid is listed as questionable on the Sixers injury report due to a left foot sprain, which is the same designation he had before Thursday’s game vs. the Golden State Warriors. He likely suffered this injury against the Boston Celtics on Christmas.
Embiid had 28 points, 14 rebounds, two assists, and two blocks in 31 minutes on Thursday night. The Warriors beat the Sixers 139-105. He continued to wear a mask covering his face after fracturing his sinus a few weeks ago.
This season, Embiid has played in 12 of Philadelphia’s 32 games. He is averaging 24.1 points, 7.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists per contest. Before Wednesday’s Sixers game against the Sacramento Kings, Embiid was designated with “rest” on the injury report.
After winning four games in a row to close out 2024, the Sixers have lost their previous two games. On November 22, the Sixers beat the Nets 113-98 in their lone matchup this season.
