Ball played in the first 18 games of the season. Since then, he’s missed ten of 14 games with a bevy of injuries: calf, ankle, and wrist. Ball has missed the last two Hornets games with left ankle and right wrist soreness.
Brandon Miller missed four of the first five games due to a glute injury. He returned and played in 21 straight games, but has missed five of the last six with a left ankle sprain.
Both Ball and Miller are questionable for Friday’s contest against the Detroit Pistons.

The Hornets have lost eight straight and 16 of the last 17 games, so getting their two franchise pieces would be a positive development.
If Ball is unable to go, then Vasilije Micic would likely start. If Miller misses another game, then Seth Curry would likely start with Josh Green sliding up to small forward.
