Paul George U 20.5 Points + Assists (-120)

While the 76ers have yet to release their injury report for Thursday, the expectation is that Joel Embiid will be back in the lineup after being rested for yesterday’s matchup with the Kings. The center ranks third in the NBA in usage rate this season (35.8%). Embiid’s presence affects every one of his teammates’ roles, especially George.

With Embiid on the court this season, George’s usage drops 5.8 percentage points and his assist rate falls 7.7 percentage points. Embiid and George have played 11 games together this season, and in those contests, George is only averaging 13.4 points and 3.7 assists per game. Overall, the wing has stayed under 20.5 PA in eight of those 11 games with Embiid.

On the road and going against a Warriors’ defense that ranks eighth in efficiency, George should have a quiet performance and is a great bet for under 20.5 PA. On top of the Embiid factor and this being a poor matchup, George is averaging 1.6 points and 1.5 assists per game less on the road this season.
