College Football Playoff Picks: Best Player Prop Bets for Georgia vs. Notre Dame

Updated:

By: Blake Krass

Georgia and Notre Dame face off in the Sugar Bowl with Georgia missing quarterback Carson Beck. Here is how to bet on player props for this game at DraftKings Sportsbook.

Sugar Bowl: Georgia vs. Notre Dame

Riley Leonard Anytime Touchdown (-105)

Riley Leonard has had a great season at Notre Dame. After the loss to Northern Illinois, Leonard and Notre Dame found their identity and started playing at a high level. They have one of the country’s best defenses, allowing them to be a methodical rush-heavy offense. They never feel the need to be overly aggressive and therefore limit mistakes. Leonard is averaging just 176 passing yards per game and rarely forces the ball downfield. Leonard is often looking to use his legs, especially in the red zone. Leonard has 15 rushing touchdowns in 13 games this season, including in the first round of the playoff against Indiana. This is not the Georgia defenses of old that you can’t run against. The Bulldogs rank 51st in defensive EPA/rush, so when Notre Dame gets into scoring position, Leonard should take it himself and get in the end zone.

Gunner Stockton Anytime Touchdown (+235)

Gunner Stockton is making his first career start as a college quarterback in the College Football Playoff quarterfinals. Not only that, but he will be facing a Notre Dame defense that ranks 1st in defensive EPA/pass. It is tough for anyone to throw against Notre Dame, let alone someone as inexperienced as Stockton. When Stockton came into the SEC Championship Game against Texas, he was much more of a runner than a passer. Stockton should work with Trevor Etienne running zone read and trying to move the ball on the ground. Trevor Etienne should have a big day on the ground, which will put pressure on Notre Dame to target Etienne in those zone read concepts. That should lead to one opportunity for Stockton to keep it himself and walk into the end zone.
