Tyler Herro U 5.5 Assists (-115)

Jimmy Butler (illness) will be returning from a five-game absence tonight and the former All-Star’s presence is going to hurt all the key Heat player’s roles, especially Herro as a playmaker. Herro has done a great job dishing out assists with Butler sidelined, but it is a totally different story with the veteran in the lineup.

With Butler on the floor this season, Herro’s assist rate has dropped 4.2 percentage points and in the 20 starts he has made with Butler this season, Herro is only averaging 4.9 assists per game. In fact, Herro has only recorded six assists or more four times in those 20 games with Butler.

There is also a chance that Miami runs away with a win tonight vs. the Pelicans, which would limit Herro’s playing time. New Orleans has been pitiful, dropping 10 games in a row and they are 1-14 on the road this season, while Miami has won three of their last four, including impressive road wins over the Magic and Rockets. Rightfully so, the Heat are a 8.5-point favorite for this game on the DraftKings Sportsbook.

All in all, this 5.5-assist prop is too high for Herro tonight and he should stay under this number.
