Best Mavericks player prop bets to consider for Game 3 vs. Timberwolves

The Dallas Mavericks will attempt to take a commanding 3-0 series over the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2024 Western Conference Finals as the series shifts to Texas. The Mavericks grabbed two close wins over the Timberwolves in Minnesota, highlighted by a late shot from Luka Doncic in Game 2 which would eventually be the winner.

Here’s a look at some of our favorite Mavericks player prop bets to target for Game 3 Sunday, with odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.

Luka Doncic 30+ points (-140)

Yes, Doncic has officially been listed as questionable after being considered probable on the injury report ahead of Games 1 and 2. No, it doesn’t mean he’s in any real danger of missing the game. The star guard’s official prop is 30.5, so we’ll take a slight odds hit to include 30 as a win for anyone who takes this bet. Doncic has gone over this mark in both games so far, and he’s going to continue to take shots at a high rate. He’s averaging 31.3 points per game over the last four playoff games and I don’t see him slowing down even if the knee injury is bothering him a bit more. Take Doncic to hit this mark Sunday.

Dereck Lively over 7.5 rebounds (-105)

Lively has been the most impressive role player in this series for me. He doesn’t look like a rookie splitting time with another big man, which has been great news for the Mavericks. He’s gone over this line in both games so far, although Game 2 was the first time in the last four games he didn’t hit double-digit boards. Lively isn’t just securing rebounds; he’s attacking the glass to create second and third chances for Dallas even if he doesn’t end up with the ball. He’s averaging 3.5 offensive rebounds per game over the last six playoff games, a big reason why he’s gone over this line consistently. I see Lively hitting another over in Game 3.

Kyrie Irving under 2.5 3-pointers (-142)

It’s been an odd series, and playoffs, for the veteran guard. Irving has the ability to turn things up whenever he wants to, but also has taken a back seat to Doncic at times. That makes his production harder to gauge. He nailed four triples in Game 2 and has gone over this mark in two of the last three games. Irving has shot 43.5% from deep in the playoffs and can heat up quickly but I see him being a bit more tame in this contest even with Doncic potentially laboring due to his injury. Take Irving to go under this line tonight.
