Game 4 between the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers will take place Monday, with the No. 1 seed in the East hoping to set up the chance to close out this series at home in Game 5 while the home team attempts to once again level the series. This series has started to resemble Boston’s first-round matchup against the Heat, although the Cavaliers are hoping to flip that script with a victory in Game 4.
Update — Mitchell will miss Game 4 of the second round vs. the Celtics due to a left calf strain, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Here’s a look at some of our favorite player prop bets to target for Game 4 Monday, with odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Jayson Tatum over 10.5 rebounds (+130)
Tatum has been a force on the glass this postseason, which has allowed him to be impactful without necessarily dominating offensively. The Celtics forward has gone over this mark in two of the three games this series, taking advantage of Cleveland’s lack of depth on the interior. Boston’s only losses this postseason have come when Tatum doesn’t log double-digit rebounds, so the star knows what he has to do for his team to come out on top. I like him to get to at least 11 boards Monday night.
Evan Mobley over 15.5 points (+100)
The big man has gone over this line in all three games this series. Jarrett Allen doesn’t seem close to returning and even if he does suit up, he’s unlikely to play heavy minutes. Mobley appears to finding his confidence and he does have favorable interior matchups with Kristaps Porzingis still sidelined for Boston. I like Mobley to continue his stellar scoring run and go over this mark again in Game 4.
Jaylen Brown under 1.5 3-pointers (+142)
There’s substantial risk here, largely because Brown is aggressive to start games and can quickly heat up from behind the arc. However, his Game 3 performance is more indicative of his strengths offensively. Brown somewhat quietly tallied 28 points, shooting 13-17 from the floor and doing most of his damage attacking the basket. He did go over this line with two made triples, but I think he remains aggressive going to the hoop instead of jacking perimeter shots. I’ll take the under on this prop.
Donovan Mitchell over 40.5 points + rebounds + assists (-110)
Cleveland’s star shooting guard is considered questionable and reportedly was not at the team’s shootaround when media were let in, so be sure he is available before locking in this prop. I don’t think Mitchell will actually sit out the contest and given his production, I don’t know that an injury will slow him down. Over the last five playoff games, Mitchell is averaging 36.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 5 assists per game. Even if the Cavaliers get offense from other sources, Mitchell is going to be the engine of this team. He should cross this PRA line tonight.
