To put it mildly, the 2024 season has not gone according to plan for the New York Jets. Jets fans started off the season optimistic with a healthy Aaron Rodgers and both Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall coming off of solid seasons.
However, the Jets have slumped to 4-11, Rodgers has seemed dejected at times, and even trading for his best friend, former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams, hasn’t helped. Adams has been great — in nine games with New York, he’s hauled in 56 passes for 719 yards and six touchdowns — but the Jets are just 2-7 since acquiring him.
The road won’t get any easier on Sunday, as New York will travel to Buffalo to take on the 12-3 Bills.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Buffalo is a 10-point favorite, and the point total is set at 46. Below, I’ve identified my favorite prop bets centered around Adams.

Adams has started to rekindle his connection with Rodgers recently, turning in his two best games of the season in the Jets’ last three games. His performance was downright vintage in a December 15 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, recording nine catches for 198 yards and two scores while nabbing a two-point conversion. Sure, the Jaguars have arguably the worst secondary in football, but Adams is starting to make the kind of impact that New York surely hoped for when it gave the Las Vegas Raiders a conditional third-round pick for his services.
Sunday’s conditions won’t be easy. It’s projected to be rainy with high winds in Buffalo, so Rodgers might hand the ball off to Hall a little more often than normal. However, when he gets the ball, Adams should be efficient; the Bills have allowed the ninth-most yards to opposing receivers. Plus, with MVP favorite Josh Allen and the Buffalo offense likely to get out to an early lead, Rodgers might have to throw to keep up. Adams has recorded at least 66 yards in each of his last five games and seems like a good bet to do so again on Sunday.

I also like Adams to find the end zone for the fifth consecutive game. Rodgers leans heavily on his favorite target, trying to get it to Adams on 29.4% of his throws. Furthermore, Adams’ 40.0% target share within the red zone is tied with the New York Giants’ Wan’Dale Robinson for the second-highest in football. As Adams gets even more comfortable with the Jets’ offense, he should have no trouble finding the end zone.
Meanwhile, the Bills have operated under the philosophy that offense is the best defense, engaging in several memorable shootouts so far this season. As a result, it has given up 25 touchdowns to opposing receivers, more than all but seven teams. New York is one of only a few teams to score 30 points only once this season, so it might not have the offense to keep up with Buffalo in a shootout, but given enough volume, Adams should reach paydirt.
