NFL Best Bets: Top Prop Bets for Week 17 on DraftKings Sportsbook

Updated:

By: Ciaran Doyle

The final two weeks of the regular season have arrived, and we have a nine-game NFL slate on Sunday followed by Lions vs. 49ers on Monday Night Football. Below are some of my favorite prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for this weekend’s action.

OVER Picks

WR Davante Adams Over 65.5 Rec Yds (-115)

Davante Adams has turned it up a notch in the last few weeks, hitting the over on this number in each of his last five games. Over that time span, he has been heavily involved in the Jets offense, averaging 7.2 receptions per game. I don’t see why that would change on Sunday in Buffalo, as Aaron Rodgers loves him some #17.

The matchup is a good one, as the Bills have struggled defending the pass this season. Buffalo ranks 25th in the league against the pass, so there should be plenty of opportunities for Gang Green to air it out. It may not result in a win, but expect Adams and Rodgers to continue their recent success on Sunday.

TE George Kittle Over 68.5 Rec Yds (-115)

Kittle is coming off one of his best games of the season last week, catching eight passes for 106 yards against the Dolphins. The former Iowa tight end has gone over this total in five of his last eight games and leads San Francisco in catches, yards and receiving touchdowns. The 49ers will be facing the Lions on Monday, who are much better at defending the run than the pass. Detroit ranks 27th in the league against the pass, so this is a great matchup for Kittle and company.

The 49ers are just playing for pride at this point of the season, but Kittle seems like the kind of person who will give his best regardless of the circumstances. He should be the focal point of this offense once again on Monday.

WR Malik Nabers Over 65.5 Rec Yds (-110)

Surprise surprise. Malik Nabers is back in my favorite prop bets once again in Week 17. Considering the volume he gets, these totals have just been too low in recent weeks. Sunday’s matchup with the Colts is no exception, and I expect Nabers to breeze past this total.

He has cleared this number in five straight games, and expect him to do the same against the 23rd-ranked pass defense on Sunday. Indy has struggled to stop the pass, and I think Nabers will be a handful for them to contain in this one. Nabers should go over this total for the sixth straight game.

UNDER Picks

TE Brenton Strange Under 27.5 Rec Yds (-110)

This is a Strange number, as the Jaguars’ tight end has only gone over this total once in the last seven games. During the season, he has been averaging 23.4 receiving yards per game, which is under the listed total. To put the cherry on top, he now will face the best pass defense in football with the Titans coming into town.

When these teams matched up earlier in the season, Strange was barely involved, only receiving one target which he hauled in for 21 yards. Strange doesn’t have recent production and has a tough matchup, so this was an easy under for me to select.

WR Brandin Cooks Under 33.5 Rec Yds (-115)

Cooks hasn’t played a whole lot this season, as he’s only featured in eight games. In those games, he has only gone over this total three times. Cooks is going to have his hands full on Sunday when the Cowboys face the Eagles. Philly is the second-best pass defense in football and will provide a huge challenge to the Cowboys offense without Dak Prescott or CeeDee Lamb.

I think Dallas will really struggle to move the ball in this one, and despite the Eagles also missing their starting quarterback, I think Philadelphia could run Dallas out of the building. Cooks and the Dallas offense are in for a tough one on Sunday.

TE Kyle Pitts Under 20.5 Rec Yds (-115)

Pitts got off to a solid start this season but has fallen off a cliff in the second half of the year. He has gone under this total in four of his last five games. In those four games where he went under the total, he either recorded one or zero receptions. Pitts was supposed to be one of the focal points of this offense, but that has not come to fruition. To make matters worse, the matchup is also a very tough one.

Washington ranks fourth in the NFL against the pass, so Penix Jr. and the Falcons passing offense have a big challenge on their hands. It only takes one big play for Pitts to go over this total, but the ball has barely come his way in recent weeks. I expect Pitts to continue to struggle on Sunday night.
