The Boston Celtics are coming off their first losing streak of two or more games this season. They lost to the Philadelphia 76ers 118-114 on Christmas day. But tonight, they host the Indiana Pacers at 7:30 p.m. ET and will seek revenge for their first loss of the year.
The Celtics’ best player, Jayson Tatum, has always been a tremendous scorer but has taken it a notch this season. He averages 29 points per game, 2.1 more than last season and the fifth most in the NBA. Here is my favorite prop bet for Jayson Tatum against the Pacers tonight.

Over the last two years, Tatum has been a Pacers killer. Tatum has had 30 or more points in 10 of the previous 11 games against the Pacers. In their first matchup this season, Tatum dropped 37 points in an overtime loss on October 30.

In his last three contests, Tatum has scored 31 or more points, including a 43-point performance against the Chicago Bulls on December 21. The Pacers allow 116 points per game to opposing teams, the eighth most in the NBA. After taking a step back on offense a season ago, Tatum is much more aggressive on offense in the regular season this year. He is averaging 29.5 in December.
Tatum is shooting 20.6 field goals per game this season, an increase of 1.3 from the 2023-24 season. Tatum is on fire scoring the ball, and it is wise to ride the hot hand against a familiar opponent against whom he has had success.
