The Unabated NBA team, led by industry veteran Justin Phan, currently projects Warriors star Draymond Green to have a 50% chance to play tonight on the road at the Clippers. With Steph Curry already out with a knee injury, Green’s ability to play with a lower back contusion is a key one to decipher for the Warriors rotation.
Draymond’s rates on the year are solid with a 15.2% usage rate, 11.3 rebound rate, and 26.1% assist rate — good for 0.94 DraftKings Points Per Minute on the year. His potential absence would open roughly 30 projected minutes along with those possessions and stats he’d leave behind.
If Draymond Green plays tonight, Unabated’s Conditional NBA projections would have him at 8 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 5.6 assists.
If Draymond sits, he’d have the following impact on his teammates:
- Jonathan Kuminga projects for 17.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.6 assists (16.1 points, 5 rebounds, and 2.2 assists if Draymond plays)
- Buddy Hield projects for 12.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.7 assists (12.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.5 assists if Draymond plays)
- Andrew Wiggins projects for 16.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.6 assists (16.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.3 assists if Draymond plays)
- Dennis Schroeder projects for 15 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 6.7 assists (15 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 5.9 assists if Draymond plays)
- Brandin Podziemski projects for 9.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.2 assists (9.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists if Draymond plays)
- Trayce Jackson-Davis projects for 10.5 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 2.5 assists (10.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists if Draymond plays)
With Gary Payton II and the aforementioned Steph Curry already out, there is already a lot of ownership expected for the remaining Warriors, upwards of 40% for players like Dennis Schroeder. Draymond Green’s status would impact that even further, making his status one of the most important for the 12/27 NBA DFS slate.
