It has not been the rookie season that Caleb Williams hoped for in any fashion. The Bears have really struggled this season and they are currently on a nine-game losing streak entering this matchup. However, they still have a lot to prove as they will have a new regime taking over next season. A lot of these players are proving that they should keep their job under new management next season. There is no doubt Williams will still be their quarterback moving forward but he will want to gain some positive momentum heading into next season.
The Seahawks are still hoping to find their way into the postseason so they have a lot to play for in this game. The Bears will look to play spoiler in this matchup and to do so, they need a big game out of Caleb Williams. The Bears are 4-4 at home compared to 0-7 on the road this season and Williams has also been much better at home. He has an 11-1 TD-INT ratio at home compared to an 8-4 TD-INT ratio on the road. Williams has also been a much better rusher at home. He has 269 rushing yards on 6.4 yards per carry at home compared to 173 rushing yards on 5.6 yards per carry on the road.
Williams should have a big game on the ground against Seattle. The Bears’ offensive line has been a disaster in recent weeks and that has caused Williams to take off and run on a lot of plays. That is why I am backing Williams to go over 26.5 rushing yards in this game. Williams has cleared this number in five of his past six games and is averaging 29.5 rushing yards per game this season. He should have some designed runs called and will also have to take off when the Seahawks inevitably get some pressure.
