The Oklahoma City Thunder are the best team in the Western Conference. They have a 3.5-game advantage over the No. 2 seed Houston Rockets. The Thunder have won eight of their previous nine games. Tonight, they will play the Indiana Pacers for the first time this season at 7:00 p.m. ET.
The Thunder have as deep of a roster as you’ll find in the NBA, but it all starts with their best player, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. He is averaging 30-plus points per game for the third straight season. SGA is third in the NBA in scoring this year.
Here is my favorite prop bet for SGA against the Pacers tonight.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander over 1.5 steals (-160)
In Thudner’s most recent game, Gilgeous-Alexander dropped 40 points for the second time this season. But he also totaled nine rebounds, three assists, three blocks, and three steals. He is a complete player and impacts the game in so many different areas.
Although his scoring stands out the most, his over in points is set at 32.5 against the Pacers tonight. That is a big number, so it is wise to consider backing SGA to total more than 1.5 steals at -160 on DraftKings Sportsbook. Gilgeous-Alexander has had at least two steals in six straight games and has hit that total 18 times this season. He is second in the NBA in steals per contest behind Dyson Daniels (3.2 STL).
SGA has also had more than 1.5 steals in nine of his last 10 games. In that same time period, he has only hit his scoring over three times. Gilgeous-Alexander has played the Pacers nine times in his career. He has had over 1.5 steals in five of them and four of the previous games vs. Indiana.
