By: Grant Afseth

The Christmas Day slate is here, and with it comes five exciting matchups featuring some of the NBA’s top superstars. There are plenty of betting options on DraftKings Sportsbook for each game.

Here’s a look at the full schedule for the Christmas Day slate:

Spurs at Knicks, 12:00 p.m. EST
Timberwolves at Mavericks, 2:30 p.m. EST
76ers at Celtics, 5:00 p.m. EST
Lakers at Warriors, 8:00 p.m. EST
Nuggets at Suns, 10:30 p.m. EST

Spurs +9 (-110)

The Spurs head to Madison Square Garden to take on the Knicks for the first time this season, with Victor Wembanyama looking to continue his impressive rookie campaign. The Spurs have won four of their last five games, with Wembanyama averaging 29.2 points and 6.2 blocks. While the Knicks are strong at home and have elite firepower led by Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns, San Antonio’s depth and Wembanyama’s versatility should keep the game close. At +9, the Spurs are a favorable pick to cover the spread.

Mavericks -5 (-108)

The Timberwolves visit the Mavericks for a Christmas rematch. With Luka Doncic back in the lineup, Dallas no longer has to sustain its success without its best player on the court. Kyrie Irving and Klay Thompson have led a deep supporting cast, but Doncic being on the floor only enhances their offense. On the other hand, the Timberwolves have struggled to find offensive consistency. Dallas is well-positioned to extend its strong home play and cover the five-point spread against a Minnesota team still learning to play with Julius Randle.

76ers +10 (-115)

Philadelphia faces Boston in what promises to be an exciting Christmas Day showdown. The Celtics have been dominant, but the 76ers are showing resilience, with Joel Embiid leading the charge. With Boston’s focus on shooting threes and Philadelphia’s improved defense, the 76ers have the tools to keep this game within a manageable margin. A healthy Embiid gives them a strong chance to cover the 10-point spread in a contest that could come down to the wire.

Lakers +3.5 (-108)

LeBron James and the Lakers face Stephen Curry and the Warriors in a game with major postseason implications. While Golden State has been impressive, especially with Curry playing at a high level, the Lakers have won three of their last four contests. LeBron looks rejuvenated after a short rest, and the team’s depth has been a huge advantage. With Curry facing a tough Los Angeles defense and LeBron’s all-around game, take the Lakers to cover on the road.

Suns +3 (-112)

The Suns are in a tough spot against the Nuggets, but they can stay competitive with their high-powered offense. Devin Booker remains sidelined for now, but Phoenix has enough talent available to compete. Denver has struggled to maintain success without a reliable second scorer behind Nikola Jokic since Jamal Murray’s impact has been inconsistent, and the Suns have a solid outlook to overcome that. Phoenix has a real chance to cover the three-point spread in what should be a close and competitive game.
