Jayson Tatum injury update: December 25 vs. 76ers

UPDATE: Tatum is available for Wednesday’s game vs. the 76ers. White will also play, while Holiday has been ruled out. With Holiday off the court this season, Tatum’s usage rises a team-high 5.4 percentage points to 36.6%.

Celtics star Jayson Tatum ($9,800) missed Monday’s loss to the Magic with an illness. Now, the forward has been listed as questionable for Wednesday’s Christmas Day matchup with the 76ers. Additionally, Derrick White ($6,800, hamstring) and Jrue Holiday ($4,800, shoulder) are both questionable.

Tatum leads the Celtics with a 31.1% usage rate and 28.8 PPG this season. If he sits, Jaylen Brown ($7,800) will become the Celtics’ alpha and be an elite option for DFS and targeting overs on player props.

With Tatum inactive this season, Brown averages 25.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game. Brown’s usage rises 3.9 percentage points to 34.1% with Tatum off the court this season, and that number would grow even further if White or Holiday are also out along with Tatum.

While Tatum is obviously the biggest factor, if any of Tatum, White or Holiday sit, Payton Pritchard ($5,700) will also be a strong DFS target and a player to consider for player prop overs.

The Celtics are 2-1 with Tatum inactive this season and Boston is a nine-point favorite over the 76ers on DraftKings Sportsbook.
