The Slovenian superstar returned from a two-game absence due to injury on Monday night — on Christmas, he’ll look to keep the Mavericks in the win column with their third-straight victory, this time on the national stage.

Doncic’s lines for Wednesday afternoon’s contest are currently set at 29.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 7.5 assists, and 3.5 three-pointers on DraftKings Sportsbook.
The Mavericks sit 19-10 on the season, good for fourth place in the Western Conference. The trio of Doncic, Kyrie Irving, and Klay Thompson have been a sneaky-good combo, and it feels as though Dallas is somehow still flying under the radar.
It’s a strong contrast to the 14-14 Timberwolves, who have struggled to find consistent form after shipping out franchise icon Karl-Anthony Towns for Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo over the offseason. Even with their struggles, though, the Anthony Edwards-led Wolves have proven themselves to be a capable squad.
On the season, Doncic averages 28.8 points, 8.5 rebounds, 8.1 assists, and 2.0 steals. It’s impressive production for nearly any player in NBA history, yet it’s a bit of a down year for the superstar.
Even still, Doncic flirts with a double-double nearly every time he takes the floor. He’s recorded double digits in two or more stat categories in 10-of-21 games so far, so taking him to record a double-double could be a nice bet at -105 odds. Even in the games Doncic hasn’t hit the double-double mark, he often comes close — he’s recorded nine assists or rebounds in four contests, as well.
If betting on double-doubles isn’t your speed, perhaps look at taking Doncic’s over 29.5 points line at -120 odds. He’s scored 30+ points in 10 appearances, coming close to the mark with 27+ points in four more outings. He’s always a major part of the offense, and in a game against a familiar Western Conference foe, Doncic may be in for a big outing on Christmas Day.
