Spencer Rattler and the Saints are walking into Lambeau Field to face off against the Packers on Monday Night Football. Green Bay is favored by a whopping 14 points on DraftKings Sportsbook and the game total is set at 42.0 points. This one could get ugly quickly for the Saints as they will be without their go-to playmaker, Alvin Kamara, and will field multiple below-average weapons for Rattler to work with.
It is safe to say that the Packers are likely going to score the first touchdown of the game but the simple question is who? I am intrigued by quite a few options but will be going with the safe choice. Josh Jacobs First TD Scorer (+250)
I apologize for being boring but plus odds are plus odds, right? This is truly an elite matchup that I simply cannot fade. Jacobs has been living in the end zone with 12 touchdowns in just the last seven games and will likely be fed early against one of the worst defenses in the league. New Orleans ranks 29th in rush EPA, 30th in yards per carry, and is tied for the second-most touchdowns allowed to opposing running backs.
Jacobs has scored Green Bay’s first touchdown in three games this season and unsurprisingly leads the team in red zone touches with 54. Green Bay tends to get the scoring going early, ranking second in yards per play and third in first-quarter points per game. The Saints’ secondary is also vulnerable, which slightly worries me because of the Packers’ big-play ability in the wide receiver room. But, Jacobs has averaged over seven first-quarter carries over the past five games. I feel good that the Packers will feed him often and keep the touchdowns coming.
