Ja Morant is no longer listed on the injury report ahead of Monday’s game against the Clippers, which is a significant boost for Memphis. Morant missed Saturday’s matchup against the Hawks due to lower back soreness. Over his last five appearances, Morant has averaged 21.3 points, 6.5 assists, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.8 steals in 28.8 minutes per game. Memphis has been dominant recently, setting a franchise record with 27 made 3-pointers in a win over Golden State. The Grizzlies’ offensive firepower and improved defense will be tough for the Clippers, who are still without Kawhi Leonard. Take Memphis to cover the -6 spread.
Mavericks -10 (-112)
Dallas has adjusted well without Luka Doncic, and despite his heel injury, the Mavericks continue to win games, including a 113-97 victory over the Clippers. Dallas has posted a solid 6-2 record without Doncic, and with contributions from Kyrie Irving, Klay Thompson, and others, they should handle the Trail Blazers, who have struggled on the road. However, Doncic could return to the lineup since he’s questionable, which would only enhance his team’s outlook. Portland is just 3-12 away from home, and Dallas is trending upward with balanced offensive play. The Mavericks should cover the -10 spread against the Blazers.
Pistons +6 (-115)
The Lakers have won three straight, but the Pistons have improved significantly, especially in their 133-125 win over the Suns. Cade Cunningham’s 28 points and 13 assists were key, and Jaden Ivey’s return added a much-needed spark. While the Lakers are playing well, their win streak will be tested by the Pistons, who are looking for consecutive wins for the first time in over a month. Take Detroit to cover the +6 spread in this matchup.
Pacers +5.5 (-112)
The Pacers have been on a roll, winning two straight games, including big victories over Phoenix and Sacramento. They now face the Warriors, who have struggled after a hot start, losing 9 of their last 12 games. The Pacers’ improved defense has been a key factor in their recent success, and they’ll look to continue their momentum in San Francisco. With greater depth and improved health, take the Pacers to cover the +5.5 spread against the Warriors.
Spurs +5.5 (-108)
Victor Wembanyama has been playing at an elite level for the Spurs, recently posting a 30-point, 10-block double-double in a win over Portland. The Spurs have won four of their last five games, and while the 76ers are dealing with injuries to Joel Embiid, they have struggled at times this season. Philadelphia’s recent loss to Cleveland highlights their vulnerabilities. Take the Spurs to cover the +5.5 spread on the road against the 76ers.
