The Charlotte Hornets may not be a team that receives much recognition, but point guard LaMelo Ball should certainly get more national acclaim for his talents. The 23-year-old guard is in the midst of a career-best season, averaging 30.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 7.5 assists per contest.

The Hornets are not very good, with a dismal 7-21 record and their sights set firmly on the draft lottery race for Cooper Flagg. Meanwhile, the 19-9 Rockets are on a resurgence following their rebuild and possess the NBA’s second-best defense.
Ball is working his way back into game shape following roughly a two-week absence due to injury. He’s played two games since returning, with stat lines of 15-5-11 and 34-4-13 in those contests (though he played just 26 minutes in the first one).
