At his core, Nikola Jokic wants to be a facilitator. He’s an electrifying passer who makes everyone around him better. Jokic is by far the best offensive engine in the league and is the only reason this team has stayed afloat.
Jamal Murray has not been a capable sidekick, and Michael Porter Jr. struggles to create his own offense. Jokic has had no choice but to take on more of the scoring burden, which is why he’s averaging over 30 points for the first time in his career.
He’ll be going against a weak frontcourt with Jusuf Nurkic starting across from him. In a game that should feature plenty of points, Jokic will have to ease the burden and feast on easy looks around the rim. He hasn’t hit the 35+ point mark since Dec. 8th, but given the value and this matchup, it’s wise to back the MVP and take advantage of this attainable line with premium value.
