Jefferson ranks 2nd in the NFL in receiving yards, 5th in receiving touchdowns and 10th in receptions. In the past three weeks, he has really returned to form, averaging seven catches for 101.3 receiving yards and a touchdown per game.
The Vikings have won seven straight games and after the Lions’ loss to the Bills, they are now tied atop the NFC North. The Seahawks are also tied atop their own division so these are two teams with massive playoff implications on the line. Justin Jefferson will need to have a big game to beat this Seahawks team. Seattle has been average against the pass this season, ranking 17th in defensive dropback success rate and 12th in defensive EPA/dropback. Seattle also ranks 19th in opponent completion percentage, 18th in opponent passing play percentage and 18th in opponent passing touchdown percentage.
Teams have been able to get into the end zone against the Seahawks all season through the air. If the Vikings want to score in this game, they will need to do the same. After a long stretch without scoring a touchdown, Jefferson has been a reliable end-zone target for Sam Darnold again the past two games. He has three touchdowns over those two games and the duo has renewed their connection from earlier in the season where Jefferson scored in each of the first four games. At plus-money, betting on Jefferson to score a touchdown in this big of a game is hard to pass up.
