The Packers host the banged-up Saints on Monday Night Football.
It’s primetime, which means DraftKings has a premier showdown contest. In this mode, choosing the best captain is critical since they earn 1.5x fantasy points. Below, I’ve honed in on the top three options deserving of leading your lineup.

DraftKings Showdown Captain (CPT) Picks
Josh Jacobs ($17,400)
As the temperature drops, Josh Jacobs will only be more effective. The physical bruiser has struggled with efficiency the last few weeks, failing to muster over four yards a carry during that stretch. He has worn out opposing front sevens, bulldozing into defenders and using his strength to tire out defensive lines. Jacobs typically garners over 20 touches in a contest, and his physicality helps slow down the pass rush and elevate the play-action pass game.
The fantasy value comes from his prevalence of crossing the goal line, punching in eight scores across his last four outings. In the red zone, there’s no question Jacobs is the “go-to” option, and with the offense firing on all cylinders, they find themselves in that area often. Jacobs is a bell cow who will generate fantasy points regardless of matchup and always deserves captain consideration.
Jordan Love ($15,900)
When the season starts to wind down, Jordan Love flips a switch and becomes a different signal caller. The gunslinger has solid counting stats on the campaign but has not sniffed that upper echelon of superstar quarterbacks. Love struggled with decision-making — putting too much trust in his cannon arm and not taking enough of the “layup” reads. Green Bay having the third most drops in the NFL hasn’t alleviated any pressure either.
Love has started to put it together. Since the start of November, Love has nine total touchdowns with just two turnovers and a 4-2 record. He’s throwing with better anticipation and letting the game come to him. Love is oozing with confidence and delivering accurate strikes to his cavalcade of weapons. New Orleans’s defense has played above its talent level in recent weeks, but traveling to a frigid Lambeau Field should change the equation. I like Love to have another dazzling performance.
Kendre Miller ($14,100)
On a squad ravaged by injury, it’s hard to identify who, if anyone, is ready to step up for the Saints. They are without their starting quarterback, running back, tight end and top two receivers. I’ve landed on second-year rusher Kendre Miller, who made his name dominating for TCU and helping the Horned Frogs reach the National Championship in 2023.
Miller doesn’t have blazing speed, but he’s a quick, jittery back who is agile in open space. He’ll slide in atop the depth chart, and the dramatic uptick in workload could lead to some success for a group with nothing to lose.
