It’s a bit of a dud for Sunday Night Football this week, but if you buy into the rising cultural tide raising the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ ship, you might be able to squint and find their matchup against the Dallas Cowboys somewhat fun. Of course, the slate has been spread far and wide during NFL Week 16, so it’s not unlikely you have fantasy matchups, DFS contests, or, perhaps, a little sprinkle of stake reliant on this game. And one of the hardest backfields to evaluate remains that of the Bucs, with both Bucky Irving and Rachaad White operating in 1A/1B roles.

I know—another chalky bet, especially with the juice at even money exactly. But there’s something tidy about this line that’s got me all over it.
Irving has seven rushing touchdowns on the year, but hasn’t reached paydirt for three weeks. He scored in Week 10 against the 49ers, Week 12 against the Giants, and Week 13 against the Panthers. In those games, he was on the field for 28, 34, and 41 offensive snaps. Since he’s been nursing a back injury, he’s only eclipsed 28 offensive snaps once—last week against the against the Chargers, when he rushed for 117 yards. It was his most efficient game of the season yet.
However, Rachaad White has two touchdowns in the games since. So we’re getting even money on an Irving Anytime TD, which might just be sitting at that plus-money number based on recency bias.
Bottom Line
Irving, despite these lingering back and hip injuries, is as healthy as he’s been yet. I’m all over his Anytime TD bet at this price, potentially for two units. It’s his game to shine, tonight.
