Mike Evans ($15,900)
There hasn’t been a streak getting so much buzz since the Undertaker lost his spotless record at Wrestlemania a decade ago. Mike Evans has surpassed the 1,000-yard mark in each of the first ten seasons of his career. It’s a feat of unrivaled consistency that will land him in Canton once he decides to hang it up. After missing three games with a hamstring injury, Evans is in danger of losing his historic anecdote.
The superstar wideout needs 251 yards across his last three games to keep the stat alive. It’s been such a point of contention that it’s impossible to imagine Evans won’t have extra motivation to perform these coming weeks. His tour starts against a Dallas defense that is 29th in EPA per play without its top corner, Trevon Diggs. Evans is playing with a bigger purpose and deserves heavy captain consideration.
Baker Mayfield ($14,400)
At this point, Baker Mayfield should be unanimously considered a top-12 signal caller in the NFL. Tampa Bay has perfectly harvested the former number-one overall pick’s arm and moxie to maximize his talent. Mayfield has struggled with being overconfident at times but has weaponized his aggressiveness.
Mayfield has tossed 32 touchdowns and 12 interceptions, but his gunslinger tendencies have elevated the aerial attack. This production has helped his DFS upside, surpassing 20 points in his previous two outings. He has a flair for the dramatics and will be ready to deliver on primetime.
Rico Dowdle ($14,100)
The Cowboys had their running back of the future all along. Rico Dowdle has been a revelation as of late, crossing the century mark in his previous three games. He’s also been wildly efficient during that span, averaging well over five yards on 65 carries. He’s a hard-nosed runner who doesn’t have tremendous agility but hits holes with a purpose and fights for extra yards.
Tampa is 19th in EPA per rush, as the front seven continues to be shaky. Dowdle’s workload is only increasing, and he’s in line for another 20+ touch evening. The opportunity is there, and given his recent form, it’s hard not to give him your crown.
