Once available as an 80-1 shot to win the NBA 6th Man of the Year Award prior to the season, Payton Pritchard’s spectacular year has skyrocketed him up the board to a -500 odds-on-favorite. The Celtics have given him the full green light to fire away off the bench, and Pritchard has certainly been capitalizing.
Averaging 16.5 points per game, Pritchard’s been a consistent part of Boston’s scoring onslaught this season, particularly from downtown. He had a strange outlier where he only played 24 minutes against the Bucks a couple weeks ago and went scoreless, but if we toss that game out, PP is on a tremendous run. He’s dropped at least 15 points in eight straight games, averaging 22.6 points during that span, with at least 20 in six of the games (so ladder up to 20+ if you choose).
The Celtics are well over double-digit favorites at home against the Bulls, who play at the NBA’s fastest pace, and also rank near the bottom of the league in defensive rating. That leaves Pritchard in another fantastic spot to continue scoring the ball on Thursday, and we’ll get this at a better price by adding in the moneyline.
