James sat out two games due to left foot soreness and fatigue. In the eight prior games, he shot only 45% from the field and 22% from downtown. JJ Redick has talked about giving James more breaks in-game so that he doesn’t have to miss multiple contests.
James returned to action on Sunday and played 34 minutes. He is officially listed as questionable for Thursday’s matchup against the Sacramento Kings.
If James is unable to go, Gabe Vincent would likely get the start while Anthony Davis and Austin Reaves would see upticks in usage. On the season, both have seen a 5% usage rate bump with James off the court.
