According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Titans are pulling the plug on their mayonnaise-loving quarterback. After tossing three interceptions in Week 15’s lopsided loss to the Bengals, Will Levis is headed to the bench.
While Levis has certainly had his struggles in his sophomore season, it’s difficult not to wonder why this move is being made. Formerly the 33rd-overall pick in the 2023 Draft, injuries have limited Levis to just 20 career starts. With a high pick coming in 2025, you’d assume Tennessee would want as large a sample of information as possible on their young pivot. Specific to this season, Levis has 12 touchdowns and 12 picks in his 11 games. He’s averaging only 5.7 adjusted yards per pass attempt — the fifth-lowest mark of any qualified QB.
Still, it isn’t like Mason Rudolph has fared much better. In fact, the pair’s statistics are eerily similar. In Rudolph’s three starts in 2024, he’s thrown six touchdowns to six interceptions and has produced 5.6 adjusted yards per throw. Woof.
The Titans are four-point underdogs against the Colts this Sunday.
