Tyrese Maxey best prop bets for 76ers vs. Hornets

Tyrese Maxey best prop bets for 76ers vs. Hornets

The 76ers are visiting the Hornets in Charlotte on Monday. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Philadelphia is favored by 3.5 points and this game presents a total of 216.5 points.

Below, I have featured my favorite Tyrese Maxey prop to consider from this contest.

Best Tyrese Maxey Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

Tyrese Maxey U 26.5 Points (-125)

Paul George (knee) will be available Monday, but Joel Embiid (sinus) is out for the second straight game. The former MVP center will be reevaluated in one week, per ESPN’s Shams Charania.

While we have seen Maxey flourish with Embiid sidelined in the past, having George in the mix changes things. The veteran is handling a 26.6% usage rate this season. In the five starts George and Maxey have made together with Embiid inactive, Maxey is averaging well under his season average with only 21.8 PPG.

Jared McCain (knee) is also missing his first game of the season for the 76ers on Monday, but In the 105 minutes Maxey has played with George on the floor and Embiid and McCain off this season, Maxey’s usage has dropped 2.9 percentage points, and he is averaging 22.9 points per 36 minutes.

Plus, Monday’s matchup vs. the Hornets is a concern. Both the 76ers and Hornets are bottom-10 teams in pace this season and when these two clubs met earlier this month, Maxey shot an ugly 5-of-16 from the field and finished with 21 points with George active and Embiid inactive for this tilt.

This 26.5-point line is simply too high for Maxey on Monday and backing this under is a smart move.
