In the big picture, the Atlanta Falcons are nothing if not consistent, having selected eighth overall in each of the past three NFL drafts. While this year’s eighth pick, quarterback Michael Penix Jr., has barely played, running back Bijan Robinson (eighth overall in 2023) and wide receiver Drake London (eighth overall in 2022) have become two of the Falcons’ most important playmakers.
London has been remarkably steady in each of his first three NFL seasons, pulling in 72 catches for 866 yards in his rookie season and adding 69 more for 905 yards a year later. His third season has been slightly better; in 13 starts, he’s notched 75 receptions for 866 yards and found the end zone a career-high six times.
He’ll need to be brilliant tonight in order to get Atlanta back on track. The Falcons have lost four straight games and trail the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by a game and a half for first place in the NFC South. Atlanta has a favorable matchup in the 2-11 Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football.

Drake London 70+ Receiving Yards (+105)
It’s far from a secret that Atlanta’s passing offense has struggled in recent weeks, as offseason acquisition Kirk Cousins has thrown eight interceptions and no touchdown passes in his past four games, leading to calls for him to be benched in favor of Penix. Cousins’ volume has been there — he’s averaging 35.5 pass attempts across his four-game slump — but his efficiency has not.
Monday night should present an opportunity for Cousins to get back on track, which will benefit London. The Raiders have been infrequently challenged this year, as quarterbacks have thrown just 433 passes against Las Vegas, tied for the 12th-fewest in the league. But passers have been effective against the Raiders, with a 66% completion percentage, 7.1 yards per attempt, and a 98.4 passer rating. Las Vegas is a much friendlier opponent than the Saints, Broncos, Chargers, and Vikings — the four teams that Cousins has faced during his current skid.
London has been by far Cousins’ preferred target all season, garnering 27.1% of Atlanta’s targets this season, which ranks ninth in the NFL overall. He has topped 70 receiving yards in three of his last four games.

I like London to get in the end zone for the first time in five games. Prior to the Falcons’ recent slump, London had scored in six of his nine games, and he is still the recipient of an incredible 42.2% of Atlanta’s red zone targets, the highest target share of any receiver in the league. Furthermore, he has a 28.6% target share on passes into the end zone, tied with Houston’s Nico Collins for the highest in the league. With tight end Kyle Pitts having arguably the worst season of his career, the Falcons’ passing game starts and ends with London.
Meanwhile, the Raiders have allowed teams to find the end zone 24 teams this season, tied with the Baltimore Ravens for the sixth-most in football. Las Vegas has a lack of top-end secondary talent, as the top-graded defensive back is free safety Tre’von Moehrig, PFF’s 40th-ranked safety.
