Ever since the Raiders traded Davante Adams to the Jets, Meyers has seen a huge role, with the receiver handling a 26.3% target share and running a route on 95% of his team’s dropbacks in Las Vegas’ last six games. Despite seeing passes from three different quarterbacks during this stretch, Meyers has averaged 6.8 receptions and 78.3 receiving yards per game, and he eclipsed 60.5 receiving yards in four of these six contests.
Desmond Ridder will start Monday vs. the Falcons, which is not a cause for concern, as Meyers has been Ridder’s top option this season, with Meyers garnering a target on a team-high 27% of Ridder’s attempts.
This is also an elite spot for Meyers vs. the Falcons. Atlanta’s defense has been putrid recently, with them giving up 8.8 yards per pass in their last three games, which is the second-most in the NFL when we compare every team’s last three contests. Plus, the Falcons are allowing the highest completion percentage in the league to pass catchers who line up wide this season, which bodes extremely well for Meyers, with him lining up wide 70% of the time since Adams was dealt to New York.
