Best Josh Jacobs prop bets for Packers vs Seahawks on Sunday Night Football

The Green Bay Packers are set to travel to Seattle to face the Seahawks on Sunday Night Football to cap off an eventful Week 15 slate. This matchup holds playoff implications for both sides and a win would go a long way for either team.

Seattle enters with an 8-5 record and holds a half-game lead over the Rams in the NFC West. They control their playoff destiny and enter this matchup riding a four-game winning streak.

Green Bay holds a record of 9-4 but is in third place in the NFC North and has their eyes on a Wild Card spot. They have a rest advantage as they played the Lions on Thursday Night Football last week. The Packers have won seven of their last nine games with both losses coming at the hands of Detroit.

The Packers enter this game as 3-point favorites and -148 on the moneyline. The Seahawks are +124 underdogs on the moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook and the game total is set at 46.5 points.

With the stage set, here is a look at the player prop outlook for Josh Jacobs ahead of the primetime matchup.

Josh Jacobs Prop Bets

DraftKings Sportsbook has Josh Jacobs’s props set at o/u 79.5 rushing yards, 15.5 longest rushing yards, 13.5 receiving yards, 95.5 combined rushing and receiving yards, and -190 odds of an anytime touchdown.

While there has been plenty of attention paid to the impact of the additions of Derrick Henry and Saquon Barkley to their respective teams, Josh Jacobs has also increased the ceiling of the Packers’ offense after signing as a free agent this offseason. Jacobs has been incredibly effective and recorded 1,053 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns across his 239 carries. He is averaging 81.0 rushing yards per game and also has added 260 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown on the year.

Looking at the Seahawks’ defense, Seattle ranks 11th in points allowed and 13th in yards given up. They have allowed the seventh-fewest rushing touchdowns but rank 21st in rushing yards allowed and 25th in net yards per rush attempt.

Jacobs will see plenty of rushing volume and enters this week ranked fourth in the NFL in rushing yards and fourth in total rush attempts. While he is not as much of a big play threat as some other running backs across the NFL, his physical style can wear you down and create the opportunity for a big gain.

Overall this season, Jacobs has recorded his longest rush of over 15.5 rushing yards in seven of the 13 games he has played. This includes five of his past seven games. The Packers will continue to rely heavily on the running back and it takes just one rush for him to break free.

Expect the Packers to gradually wear away at the Seahawks’ defense and for Jacobs to receive the opportunity to break free in the second half. 15.5 is a pedestrian line for the longest rush and he is on the higher end of guaranteed carries among running backs. Count on him to break free for 16+ yards at least once in this matchup and capitalize on the -115 odds.

The Pick: Longest Rush Over 15.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
