Dolphins vs. Texans Prediction: The Betting Trend You Have to Know

It’s a good spot to back the Texans here, as they’re at home and off a bye, so we should see them at their best. Meanwhile, Miami is off a comeback win in overtime against the Jets, and now headed on the road. However, Houston has some ridiculous splits early in games versus later in games this season. The Texans are just 5-6-2 ATS this season, but have been getting out to tremendous starts.

Houston has a ridiculous 11-2 1H ATS record, averaging 14 points per game in the first half, and leading by just about five points per game at the break. The Texans have been even better jumping out to leads at home at halftime this season, scoring just under 18 points per first half in Houston, and leading by nearly eight points per game at the half.

Meanwhile, Miami is averaging just 6.5 points per first half on the road this season, which is fourth-worst in the NFL. The Dolphins are also just 5-8 1H ATS on the season. Both the numbers and situation point to this being a good spot to target the Texans early, and we can get them at an affordable price on the 1H ML.

The Play: Texans 1H ML (-140) – 1.5-units
