With 16 seconds left in the first half of Friday’s game against the Indiana Pacers, Bennedict Mathurin jumped for an offensive rebound while 76ers center Joel Embiid grabbed for it. As Mathurin was coming down, his arm inadvertently struck Embiid in the face, causing him to crumple to the ground. Embiid made his way to the locker room and we are awaiting his status coming out of halftime.
Prior to exiting, Embiid contributed 12 points, four rebounds and five assists in 17 minutes. Andre Drummond would fill in for Embiid.
