Rico Dowdle -125
Dallas Cowboys at Carolina Panthers

Amazingly, the Panthers are favored for the first time in two years, almost to the day! I do like Hubbard to score a touchdown but he’s at a steep -175. However, I will take Dowdle to reach the end zone against the Panthers. We have two of the worst run defenses going against each other and Dowdle is in a great spot here in Week 15. The Panthers have allowed the second-most touchdowns (19) over five yards per carry, 0.07 EPA/C and a 12.8% explosive run rate. As long as the Cowboys aren’t forced to abandon the run, Dowdle should have a field day against this run defense.

Dowdle has been taking all the red zone opportunties amongst the running backs with eight in the last two weeks. Zeke Elliott and Hunter Luepke have one each over the same span, paving the way for Dowdle to score.

David Montgomery -145
Detroit Lions vs. Buffalo Bills

I usually don’t write up touchdown bets with lines like this, but even -145 seems wild. The Lions, who LOVE to run in the end zone, going up against the Bills? I mean, you’re telling me, Montgomery ISN’T going to find the end zone?! C’mon now.

Montgomery has only held out of the end zone three times this season. Now, he’ll be facing a Bills team that is very vulnerable against the run. They’ve allowed the highest explosive run rate in the league at 14.5%. Sure, Montgomery and Gibbs are in a near 50/50 split but Montgomery is easily the goal line back when the time calls for it. Montgomery’s 17 carries inside the five is tied for the league lead with Josh Jacobs and Chuba Hubbard. He also has the second-most carries overall in the league with 49, trailing only Kyren Williams.

Zach Ertz +195
Washington Commanders at New Orleans Saints

If Ertz scores this week, it’ll be his FOURTH straight game with a touchdown. He’s really come on lately, making 15 catches on 21 targets for 120 yards and three touchdowns over the last three games. Not only that, but Ertz now has 15 targets in the red zone, which ties him for the fifth-most in the league! Opportunities will continue to funnel his way, as WR2 Noah Brown is set to miss the next few games due to a kidney injury. Should Ertz score, this would only be the second touchdown allowed by the Saints to a tight end this season. That said, Ertz has scored on the Eagles and Titans recently, both of whom have been top defenses against the position.
