Josh Jacobs ($17,100)
Josh Jacobs has been the forgotten name of the running back renaissance, but he’s having another stellar campaign. Jacobs is a perfect bell cow for this time of the season. He’s a dominant bruiser who bulldozes through tacklers and can handle the heavy workload. Jacobs can gash a front seven in wintery conditions, which helps complement the passing game.
Outside of Leonard Williams, Seattle is shaky up front and struggles against better interior offensive lines. Packers HC Matt LaFleur wants to pound the rock and establish physicality early in a contest, which helps Jacob rack up carries. Near the goal line, Jacobs is unstoppable, finding his way into the end zone eight times in the last four weeks. The touchdown consistency is too valuable to ignore, and Jacobs is a clear captain frontrunner.
Jordan Love ($15,300)
When will Jordan Love finally have a superstar performance? The fifth-year signal-caller has evaded criticism because his club is firmly in the playoff picture, but he’s been shaky at best this season. Despite having a solid pass-catching room on paper, none of the receivers have been able to emerge as a bonafide top option on the outside. Green Bay also has the third-most drops in the NFL, which has hurt its downfield aerial attack.
Love is taking care of the football with zero turnovers in his last three showings, but he’s struggling to be a high-end fantasy starter. The franchise quarterback has only surpassed 20 fantasy points once in his previous seven games. Seattle has a solid secondary, but when Love is on, he can shred any back end in the league. This is a solid bounce-back spot for the 26-year-old.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba ($13,200)
Jaxon-Smith Njigba is starting to flash the traits of a WR1. JSN is in a scorching stretch, dropping 19 or more fantasy points in four of his prior five outings and doing most of his work after the catch. The Ohio State product is a masterful route runner, using sharp cuts and quick wiggle in his breaks to create enough separation to always be open.
Without cornerback Jaire Alexander (knee) in the lineup, none of the remaining Green Bay corners have what it takes to slow down JSN. He’s almost guaranteed to be a featured part of the Seattle game plan on Sunday, and when he’s fed the ball, he has proven capable of dominating games this season. If the targets continue to go his way, JSN will continue to be a must-start in DFS.
