It’s a select three-game, six-team slate of NBA action on Thursday night. Although none would be considered marquee matchups, big names like Jayson Tatum, Cade Cunningham, Domantas Sabonis, and Bam Adebayo are all set to take the floor. With so few teams tipping off, figuring out who to start is no easy task. However, that also means there’s plenty of winning bets on the board. Here are three player props worth placing tonight.

Tobias Harris over 12.5 points (-105)
A disappointing six-year tenure with the 76ers has tarnished Tobias Harris’ reputation amongst casual fans. However, the veteran has played well in his return to Detroit, the place he once called home six years ago. This season, the forward is putting up 14.1 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists on 44.9% shooting from the field, starting in all 24 of his outings.
Harris isn’t a dangerous scorer or a talented creator, but he is reliable. He’s scored double-digit points in all but five of his appearances (79.2%) for the Pistons so far. The 32-year-old has averaged 15.6 points over his last five games against the Celtics, scoring 27 points the last time these two teams met on December 4th. It’s not always easy to trust Harris, but getting this line at nearly even money is too good to pass up.
RJ Barrett over 12.5 rebounds + assists (-110)
The Raptors will once again be without Scottie Barnes. The former Rookie of the Year suffered a right ankle injury on Monday against the Knicks, sidelining him for the foreseeable future. That leaves RJ Barrett with total control of Toronto’s offense. The sixth-year pro has made huge strides through 22 games this season, posting 23.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 5.8 assists on an efficient 46.2% field goal percentage.
The Heat have earned their reputation as tough defenders, but they are giving up the tenth-most assists in the NBA (26.7 APG). Over two games against Miami this season, Barrett has averaged 12.5 rebounds and assists. Barnes did play in those two contests, but in 11 games without the forward, RJ has gone over this R+A line six times. With the ball in his hand more than ever, Toronto’s hometown star is well-positioned for a stat-stuffing performance.
De’Aaron Fox over 6.5 assists (+110)
The offseason addition of DeMar DeRozan has helped the Kings surge to ninth in points per game this season (116.4 PPG). However, it’s the dynamic duo of Domantas Sabonis and De’Aaron Fox that have led the way on offense. The latter has had a terrific season, generating 26.4 points, 6.0 assists and a career-best 5.0 rebounds on 48.9% shooting from the field.
Sacramento should have fun tonight against the 5-20 Pelicans, a group giving up the fourth-most assists in the association (28.6 APG). Over his last five games, the man known as Swipa has dished out seven dimes or more four different times. As long as New Orleans, currently seven-point underdogs, stays in the game, Fox should play long enough to flirt with a double-double. Expect the point guard to serve as a creator in this one.
