It’s been four days since the Celtics and Pistons each tipped off, but the two squads will meet for a regular season matchup tonight in Boston.
This is one of three NBA games on Thursday night as all six teams are eliminated from the NBA Cup. On DraftKings Sportsbook, the Pistons are 11.5-point underdogs and the game total is set at 226 points.

Cade Cunningham over 9.5 assists (+110)
This is a lopsided matchup even with Jayson Tatum sidelined with injury. The Celtics should defeat the Pistons with ease at home. Nonetheless, Cunningham will have an opportunity to post a nice stat line as usual.
The Pistons point guard is one of the best distributors in the league, averaging 9.4 assists per game. That’s a career high as he jumped from a 7.5 average last year. Cunningham has been the focal point of Detroit’s rebuild as he proves he’s one of the best young guards in the league.
That said, the Celtics will use Jrue Holiday and Derrick White to limit Cunningham’s scoring on Thursday. Boston will likely force the rest of the Pistons to score instead. That’ll open up more opportunities for Cunningham to rack up assists.
Even on his best scoring nights, Cunningham doesn’t have a problem reaching double-digit assists. The 23-year-old has hit the mark in 12 of 21 games this season and eight of his last nine. He’s had 10 and 14 assists in the two games against Boston this season.
At plus odds, this line has great value, especially considering Cunningham’s run of double-digit assists.
