It’s night two of the NBA Cup quarterfinals. That means a small slate, but a pair of really nice games featuring very compelling teams.
That does mean it’ll be more difficult to find some value options on Wednesday evening, but we’ll find them. Oh, yes. We’ll find them.

PF/C Larry Nance Jr, Atlanta Hawks at New York Knicks, $3,800
This comes down to the health of Jalen Johnson ($8,300; shoulder), who was unable to suit up in the Hawks’ most recent contest against the Nuggets. In that lopsided loss, Nance Jr. drew his second start of 2024-25, registering 16 points, four rebounds, three assists and 30.5 FPTS in only 24.4 minutes of action. This has become a bit of a pattern for the veteran big. Nance has logged in excess of 20 minutes four times this season. In those four games he’s produced 31.75 FPTS, 24.0 FPTS, 31.0 FPTS and 30.5 FPTS, respectively. If Johnson is unable to play through his questionable tag, Nance makes for an obvious addition to any DFS lineup on Wednesday’s condensed slate.
C Kevon Looney, Golden State Warriors at Houston Rockets, $4,000
Attempting to nail down the Warriors’ starting lineup is a fool’s errand, but Looney’s recently been producing, whether he’s in there or not. Looney has seen his role increase dramatically since the calendar flipped to December. In that two-week span, the veteran big man has started three of Golden State’s four contests, averaging 5.8 points and 9.0 rebounds in 23.7 minutes of work. Most importantly, it’s a stretch where Looney’s managed to exceed at least 24.0 FPTS three times with a high of 30.75 FPTS. The Rockets are a difficult matchup, as the lead the NBA in total rebounding rate (52.9%) and sit second in defensive rating (105.4), yet on a slate this small, volume and opportunity are the more important factors.
