NFL Week 15 Start or Sit: Braelon Allen or Isaiah Davis?

NFL Week 15 Start or Sit: Braelon Allen or Isaiah Davis?

Breece Hall (knee) missed his first game of the season this past Sunday vs. the Dolphins and while there is no official word on the back yet, Hall has been dealing with the nagging knee injury since the Jets’ bye and it is very likely he remains sidelined this Sunday vs. the Jaguars.

With Hall inactive vs. Miami, Braelon Allen ($5,400) and Isaiah Davis ($5,000) finished with 12.1 and 15.7 FPTS, respectively. While Davis produced a higher fantasy score, this was a product of a touchdown and Allen actually saw slightly better usage of the two backs.

The rookie saw 11 carries and logged 54% of the snaps, while Davis received 10 carries and logged 52.9% of the snaps. In the red zone, Allen out-carried Davis 2-1. As receivers, Allen ran a route on 47% of his team’s dropbacks and saw five targets while Davis ran a route on 42% of his team’s dropbacks and garnered six targets, including two targets in the red zone.

It appears that Allen is slightly ahead of Davis in the rushing department. With the Jets in a position to rely on their running game as three-point favorites over Jacksonville on DraftKings Sportsbook for Sunday, Allen is the better target over Davis for Week 15 if Hall remains out.

Allen should lead the way in carries and has a 15-20 touch upside in this situation, giving him a solid ceiling relative to his cheap DFS salary.
