Expect any other team than the Oklahoma City Thunder to be the top seed in the Western Conference for the Emirates NBA Cup knockout stages? Given the Thunder’s dominance throughout the entirety of this young season, probably not.
Although Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is Oklahoma City’s clear Batman, forward Jalen Williams has proven himself to be one of the best Robins in the league. The third-year player is averaging 22.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 5.0 assists.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, the Thunder are 4.5-point favorites and the point total is set to 231. Below, I’ve highlighted my favorite prop bet centered around J-Dub.

For all of Luka Dončić’s offensive brilliance, he can be sloppy in possession sometimes. The Mavericks operate such a heliocentric offense and Dončić has such a flair for the dramatic that he turns the ball over frequently. Although his 3.3 turnovers per game are a career low, he is still tied for 17th-most in basketball.
Dončić will have his hands full with Williams, who leads the league with 1.8 defensive win shares already this season and ranks third in the league with 2.1 steals per game. It’s possible that Gilgeous-Alexander, who racks up 1.7 steals per game of his own, will do the bulk of the damage on Dončić, but relying on big numbers from the best defensive player on the best defensive team seems like a safe bet. Williams has already recorded eight three-steal games so far this season, and he has a good shot of making it nine tonight.
