Dick is coming off a 27-point outing vs. the Mavericks, but we can’t expect that type of outing against the slow-paced Knicks. Dallas ranks 10th in pace, while New York ranks dead last in the category. Plus, after a rocky start, the Knicks have improved defensively, with them ranking second in defensive rating for the month of December.
Another factor working against Dick is that Scottie Barnes is back and healthy for the Raptors. With the 23-year-old on the floor this season, Dick’s usage has dropped 3.3 percentage points. Barnes and Dick have played eight games together this season and the latter has scored less than 16 points in four of those eight games.
While this 15.5-point line on DraftKings Sportsbook seems low relative to Dick’s most recent performance, this is a far from ideal spot for the shooting guard and attacking this under is the right choice.
