Ja’Marr Chase ($17,400)
The NFL leader in receiving yards heading into the weekend, Ja’Marr Chase, is having another dominant campaign. The LSU product is on pace to have the best year of his career and looks unguardable on the perimeter. He is an athletic freak but is also so smooth coming in and out of his breaks, which creates a perfect blend for a modern receiver in a high-octane offense.
Chase has only crossed the century mark once in his last seven outings but has a knack for finding the end zone. He has six touchdowns in his previous three games, which helps solidify his elite fantasy floor.
Dallas’ defense is 30th in EPA per play and is torched weekly by top-tier talent. Chase will outclass this struggling unit and continue to succeed despite the team’s lack of success.
Joe Burrow ($15,300)
If Cincinnati had a winning record, Joe Burrow would be the MVP frontrunner. The former first-overall pick has entered rarified air toward the top of the quarterback hierarchy, stuffing the stat sheet and ensuring his squad doesn’t totally bottom out.
Burrow has tossed 30 scores compared to just five interceptions and is on track to shatter personal bests across the board. He’s delivering the rock with unprecedented confidence, and although he doesn’t have the strongest arm, he can zip the ball into tight windows with excellent precision.
At this point, Burrow is a matchup buster — he’ll shred any defense lined up across from him. He should always be at the forefront of captain candidacy as he continues to be an economical gunslinger.
Rico Dowdle ($13,500)
On Thanksgiving, Rico Dowdle snapped the Cowboys‘ 26-game streak of not having a 100-yard rusher. The 26-year-old has been the featured back for much of the season but is only generating 4.5 yards a carry. Dowdle has some decent lateral bursts, but the inept aerial attack and struggling offensive line have made his job much more cumbersome.
With Cooper Rush, Dowdle has seen an expanded workload, having consecutive contests with at least 20 touches. He can shed defenders but is more apt to make a decisive cut and wiggle through the proper hole. Cincinnati hasn’t been able to stop any offense, and with the uptick in opportunity, Dowdle can make an impact.
