Best Gus Edwards prop bet for Chargers vs. Chiefs

For Week 14’s edition of Sunday Night Football, the Chargers are visiting the Chiefs in Kansas City for an AFC West matchup. On DraftKings Sportsbook, the Chiefs are a four-point favorite and this game’s total is set at 43 points.

Below, I have featured my favorite Gus Edwards prop to consider from this contest.

Best Gus Edwards Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

Gus Edwards U 35.5 Rushing Yards (-110)

With J.K. Dobbins missing his first game of the season last Sunday vs. the Falcons, Edwards got the start at running back for the Chargers, but the veteran was underwhelming, finishing with only 32 rushing yards on six carries. Edwards only out carried Kimani Vidal 6-4 and the Chargers only ran the ball 36.9% of the time in this win, which is well below their 46.7% rush rate for the season.

Edwards has been pitiful as rusher this season, averaging 3.4 YPC – which ranks 51st out of the 57 running backs who have seen at least 50 carries – and his struggles should continue against Chiefs, with their defense giving up the second-fewest yards per rush this season (3.7).

Additionally, as four-point road underdogs on the DraftKings Sportsbook, Los Angeles should be forced into another pass heavy gameplan and given how ineffective Edwards has been, the Chargers giving Vidal a longer look and more touches than Edwards make a ton of sense.

While this 35.5-rushing yard is modest, Edwards should stay under this number Sunday night.
