Here are Baker Mayfield’s current prop bet odds at DraftKings Sportsbook: o/u 246.5 passing yards, o/u 11.5 rushing yards, and o/u 1.5 passing touchdowns. Mayfield is +330 to score a touchdown, +2800 to score 2+ touchdowns, and +1700 to score the first touchdown of the game.
Baker Mayfield is backing up his great season last year with an awesome season in Tampa Bay this year. Mayfield is seventh in the league in passing yards and third in passing touchdowns this season. The Bucs’ defense has really struggled, ranking 29th in defensive EPA/play and 27th in defensive success rate. Despite that, Mayfield has this team in contention for the NFC South thanks to his play at quarterback.
The Bucs’ offense ranks sixth in the NFL in EPA/play, seventh in EPA/dropback and seventh in EPA/rush. Their perfectly balanced ability to throw the football or move it on the ground makes it really hard for opposing defenses to stop. This Raiders defense in particular should struggle against the Bucs. The Raiders’ defense has been worse on the road than at home this season and they haven’t been great no matter where they play. They rank 23rd in defensive EPA/play and 26th in defensive EPA/dropback. The Bucs should be able to move the ball pretty easily against the Las Vegas defense.
My favorite prop for Baker Mayfield is actually his longest rush over 8.5 yards. Mayfield has always been mobile and while he doesn’t put up huge rushing numbers, he almost always has a couple of big chunk scrambles per game. In fact, Mayfield has a rush of 10 yards or more in 10 out of 12 games this season. Against the Raiders this season, Joe Burrow, Bo Nix, Justin Fields, Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes have all picked up runs of 10 yards or more, so they are susceptible to the QB scramble. Mayfield has been able to pick up a chunk like that in 83% of his games this season and should do so against a below-average Raiders defense.
